CategoryPop Up CampersLength-Posted Over 1 MonthI am selling this popup because me and my son have out grow it. I bought it 2 years ago and have used it 12 times. When I bought it, it came with a canope but no poles. It has a spree tire mounted under the hitch. I removed the old ice cooler that was in the camper to make more storage. I have a mini ref./freezer that I willing to sell with the camper. I will throw in the 10 x 10 easy-up as well.

There is a small 1' hole in the back side of the screen. Category-Length-Posted Over 1 MonthLooking for a light weight 5th Wheel that won't break the bank?

Even if you do find a published tongue weight, it does not reflect the actual tongue weight. What the manufacturer would publish is an unloaded tongue weight, meaning that they don't include any of the variables like LP tank(s), battery and PUP contents. For example, my PUP has an advertised tongue weight of 290 pounds. I've weighed mine and it is 520 pounds. That's quite a change and even that will vary by where I've placed the internal contents (forward, over or rear of the axle). Unfortunately, I have not weighed the PUP on a Cat scale so I don't know the actual overall weight. My tow vehicle has a max of 700 pounds tongue weight and while I don't see ever getting there, I have to be careful of the contents of the two vehicle itself to stay within its internal and overall limits.Without someone doing real work of weighing the tongue and overall weight of the specific PUP you're looking at and how you might load the interior up with stuff, it really is a guess.

In my case (minus knowing the actual gross weight), using the GVWR of 3,770 and tongue weight of 520 pounds yields a desktop math exercise of a tongue weight percentage of 13.8%. I don't believe I use up all 905 pounds of cargo carrying capacity (which you need to factor in weight of any water you're carrying, weight LP and tanks, battery, air conditioner plus the contents you've personally added), so I believe my percentage would easily be 15% if I weighed in 300 pounds under GVWR. So, I'm saying that if you know the GVWR, you can take a WILD guess as CamL48 using 15% of GVWRI just did a google search of '1995 jayco Eagle 12 UDK' and found the answer you're looking for on the fourth result on the first page. At least according to this dealer's website , the GVWR is 3,000 pounds, dry weight is 2,235 pounds, cargo carry capacity is 765 pounds and the hitch weight (tongue weight) is 285 pounds.Again, bear in mind those figures (dry weight, hitch weight) do not include the air conditioner, battery, LP tanks, contents of the water holding tank and your own contents. You will need to add those weights in to get closer to actual weight until such time as you are able to weigh them.It sounds like you're looking at a PUP for purchase and are trying to determine your current vehicle's ability to tow a PUP or not. If you want, you could provide your vehicle's specs if you want some assistance in evaluating that as well. Some of us don't assume you have to know everything first before answering questions but it does help to know your level of experience in answering your questions or even helping you to know what information to provide us so that we can answer your questions better.Welcome to the forum and stay curious.

I've used nada weights and guess if it is dry weight, a '95 comes up with lb and I'd assume that is dry and it initially had a TW of 200 lb or so.A, page 13 shows tires with max 1105 lb each. 2210 on tires and 300 on the tongue and the GVWR should be less than 2500 lbs. I'm guessing it has a 2200 lb axle vs a 3500 lb axle.for referenceMy little 8 footer has a 2200 lb axle but the tires limit my GVWR to 1900 lbs. It's dry weight is 1100 lbs, tongue weight varies per trip 220-240 lbs. IIRC, dry TW 150 lbs.
